Kunstenaars de tijd, het weer en vooral het toeval maken mijn beelden op braakliggende terreinen, bouwplaatsen en soms ook gewoon op straat. Als ik door het leven loop kom ik ze zo tegen, en leg ze dan vast met mijn camera. Soms na echt zoeken, maar ook steeds vaker zo maar spontaan, als ik ze niet verwacht tegen te komen. Ze overvallen me dan en fascineren me. Het levert composities op die een eigen verhaal vertellen. Samen maken ze een altijd doorlopende serie foto’s, met de vergankelijkheid als thema.
The artists: Time, Weather and above all Coincidence really are forming my images. I find them on desolate terrains, building sites and sometimes simply in the street. When I walk through life I encounter them and catch them with my camera. Sometimes I really go looking for them, but more often I spontaneously come across them when I least expect it. They surprise me and fascinate me. The results are compositions that tell their own story. All images added up make for a never-ending series with the transience of life as its theme.
