‘Speelgoed van de ziel’
Ik gebruik materialen uit de natuur, karton, mijn zelf gerecycled papier-maché en leem. Mijn werk komt volledig intuïtief tot stand, ik weet nooit wat de volgende stap zal zijn, heb geen plan of voorbeeld. Ik ga als het ware ‘spelen’ met materialen en breng die in beweging, vervorm/ transformeer deze tot iets anders. Daardoor kom ik in een flow en ontstaat er iets. Het is een soort actieve meditatie. Later, als een werk klaar is, zie ik vaak waar mijn ‘binnen’ wereld onbewust mee bezig was.

‘Toys of the soul’
I use materials from nature, cardboard, my own recycled paper-maché and loam clay. My work is completely intuitive, I never know what my next move is, there is no idea or example. I’m going to ‘play’ with materials, as it were, and set them in motion, distorting/transforming them into something else. As a result, I get into a flow and something arises. It is a kind of active meditation. Afterwards, when a piece is finished, I often can see what was going on in my unconscious mind.
