RIVER DIEPHUIS
River’s kunst draait om de samensmelting van technologie, creativiteit en maatschappelijk commentaar. Zijn invloeden komen voornamelijk uit popart, postmodernisme en street art. Thema’s zoals commodificatie en de impact van menselijke activiteit op het milieu raken River diep, en hij streeft ernaar deze zorgen te weerspiegelen in zijn kunstwerken. Hij is binnen dit thema gericht op het creëren van betekenisvolle, visueel boeiende kunst die kijkers betrekt bij kritische gesprekken over de wereld waarin we leven. Zijn meeste werk is tweedimensionaal, maar wil in de toekomst zijn grenzen als kunstenaar verleggen door te evolueren naar meer driedimensionaal werk. In het dagelijks leven is River Diephuis een product ontwerper. Met zijn bedrijf R4 Design levert hij digitale fabricatie diensten aan makers en bedrijven in Nederland. Hij gebruikt kunst als een creatieve uitlaatklep.
